Firth Park Community Arts College is in the process of organising a band to accompany their school production of Hairspray and need a guitarist to help out.
Organiser Kate Wood said, “It should be great and we have a good line up of musicians, but I desperately need a guitarist. I will provide parts/chords and backing CDs for practising along to. Most songs are in 60s rock n roll/motown/funk/R&B styles. There are some quite jazzy chords in there but they can be simplified somewhat if necessary. It would require someone who is confident and experienced as a group performer. Please let me know if you might be interested, or if you know of anyone in or out of school who may be up for it.”
Performances are 30th & 31st March and 1st April, with a requirement to attend a couple of rehearsals beforehand.
