Stannington Brass Band performs alongside Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir and special guest star John Reilly for a Weston Park Cancer Charity and Cavendish Cancer Care event at Sheffield City Hall on April 3rd.
This has already been posted – but it is worth mentioning again.
If you don’t fancy the gig yourself, what about considering it as a lovely Easter gift for family who might like traditional “Yorksheer” entertainment put on for a fantastic cause?!
Starting at 8pm, BBC Radio Sheffield’s Howie Pressman presents a celebration of both charities’ work, offering a menu of music that promises to be a varied feast.
Sheffield’s own Stannington Brass is the only Championship Section band in the city, Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir has won numerous awards and special guest John Reilly, probably best known for being frontman of Boy and Dolphin and Acoustic Angels, will be accompanied by his friend and song-writing collaborator Lewis Nitikman.
Each of the artistes will perform solo items and there have been specially commissioned arrangements for John and the band and there’s a very grand finale with John, the band and choir bringing the concert to a climax.
Audience participation will be an essential part of the evening’s enjoyment and everyone will have the opportunity to join the band and choir singing popular favourites.
Tickets are available at £15 from City Hall Box Office (278 9789) and from other outlets.
