There are lots of activities planned by Sheffield Council’s Parks and Countryside Ranger Service right across the city for kids in the Easter holidays.
From grass-sledging, basketball and climbing ropes to studying wildlife, painting and kite making, there’s lots on.
Mary Bagley, the Council’s Director of Parks and Countryside said: “There are lots of great activities planned during the school holidays to encourage young people to get outdoors and have some fun. We realise that not everyone has the same interests, so we have provided a really wide variety of things to do in a park near you!”
All the activities are free of charge, although a few are subject to weather conditions and everyone is recommended to wear appropriate clothing.
Some of the events are so popular that booking is essential to be sure of a place, but people can just turn up on the day for most and get stuck in.
