Hillsborough charity races welcome more entrants

Hundreds have signed up to take part in Sheffield’s very own Hillsborough Park for the city’s Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday March 21.

There will be two Sheffield Hillsborough Park Mile races, the first at 11.30am and the second at 12 noon.  For the more adventurous, there will be three and six mile events starting at 10am and 11am.  Before each start, there will be a 15 minute warm up session, so entrants need to be there in good time.

To enter, go online to www.sportrelief.com and look up the Sheffield Hillsborough Park Mile.

Joining runners will be local sportsmen and women from table tennis, diving and volleyball, along with players from Sheffield Wednesday.

And the entertainment will include stilt-walkers, circus workshops, street dancers, a climbing wall and face painting.

The Sport Relief Weekend is taking place across the nation from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st March and it’ll be three whole days of energy, entertainment and events to help the nation rise to the challenge.
