A chance to go out on a relaxing walk in good company is on offer for early this evening (17th February).
Sheffield Forum Shamblers are walking from Hillsborough Park, along the Old Road to Hillfoot Bridge, and then through Neepsend to Spitalfields. Estimated time for completion of the three miles is an hour to an hour and a half. Newcomers will be made welcome.
- Meeting point: Outside Harlequin, Nursery Street, at 6pm or outside the main gates to Hillsborough Park at about 6.25pm
- Terrain: Flat, well-lit footpaths
- Parking: Free parking to the rear of the Harlequin
- Refreshments: Gardeners Rest, Neepsend Lane
- Toilets: As above
Any Sheffield Forum member who has never walked with the group before, or anyone who is interested in joining through the Walking For Health scheme, might find this walk is a good introduction to the group.
The pace of the walk will be steady, and there will be a couple of stops along the way at some of the more interesting buildings in the area.
IMPORTANT: Anyone joining the walk should be of a level of fitness relative to the walk being undertaken, be appropriately dressed, have suitable footwear, and have with them enough food and drink for the duration of the walk.
